About Bali Medical Concierge
Bali Medical Concierge is an independent, island-wide
patient-coordination service run by a team of Bali-based coordinators, built to guide international visitors and expats through every hospital in Bali, not to sell care from any single clinic. We exist
because too many travelers face a foreign hospital, a language barrier,
and an insurance maze at the worst possible moment, with no one on their
side who is both local and independent. That gap is what we fill, and
our independence is the whole reason it works.
If you’d rather just get help than read about us, that’s completely
fair — request a coordinator
or message us on WhatsApp any
time.
Why we started
The idea is simple and came from watching it go wrong. A tourist has
a motorbike accident in Canggu; a family in Europe gets a terrifying
call about a parent admitted in Denpasar; a digital nomad in Ubud spikes
a fever and doesn’t know which hospital to trust. In each case the
medical care available in Bali was capable — but getting to the
right care, understood, insured, and with family kept in the
loop, was the hard part. Resorts aren’t clinical. A single clinic can
only send you to itself. Insurers are a time zone away. We built Bali
Medical Concierge to be the one calm, independent, English-speaking
point of contact that ties all of it together.
What makes us different
Island-wide, not single-clinic.
across BIMC, Siloam, Kasih Ibu, Surya Husadha, Prof. Ngoerah (Sanglah),
and clinics across the island. We send you where you should go, using
the framework in our Bali
hospital guide for foreigners.
Independent.
hospital, so our only incentive is to route you correctly.
Coordination, not treatment.
our lane: we don’t diagnose or treat. We recommend, translate, liaise,
and manage logistics so the doctors can do their job and you understand
every step.
Coordination only.
On clinical oversight
This service holds no clinical licence and employs no physician. Nothing here is a medical opinion, and no page on this site carries a doctor’s review line. What we do is coordination: reaching the right hospital, translating, and keeping the paperwork moving while you are treated. Which hospital, which specialty, how an emergency is escalated, how insurance and evacuation are handled — we can explain how those usually work in Bali and say where our description came from. The decisions themselves belong to the doctors who actually examine you, and we would rather say that plainly than imply a layer of clinical authority sits behind this website.
Our coordinators
Behind the medical oversight is a team of Bali-based coordinators who
do the on-the-ground work: taking your call at any hour, reaching the
right hospital and doctor, translating at admission, sitting between you
and your insurer, updating your family abroad, and — when it comes to it
— helping arrange evacuation.
They are calm under pressure because this is what they do every day.
How we work
with the wider Bali medical ecosystem
We stay firmly in the coordination lane and collaborate with
specialists rather than competing with them. If your need is
Sanur-specific, a routine check-up product, dental, fertility, or
aesthetic care, we coordinate the appointment and, where it truly serves
you, point you to the right specialist provider. That cooperative stance
is deliberate — it keeps our advice honest and our reach genuinely
island-wide.
Standards and sources we
follow
We align our guidance with reputable authorities including the World
Health Organization, Indonesia’s Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), IATA
Travel Centre, and destination health advisories from major embassies,
and we reference hospital accreditation bodies such as JCI and
Indonesia’s KARS. How we verify hospital safety is detailed on our trust and accreditation page.
The principles we won’t bend
on
A patient-coordination service earns trust or it earns nothing, so we
hold to a few non-negotiables. We stay in our lane: we coordinate, we
don’t diagnose or treat, and we never blur that line to sound more
impressive. We stay independent: no hospital owns us, so no affiliation
colors our advice. We’re honest about limits: if Bali isn’t the right
place for a case, we say so and help arrange evacuation rather than keeping you
here for the sake of it. We’re transparent about cost: the first
conversation is free and we quote before you commit. And we keep
clinical oversight real — every recommendation carries the review of a
practicing Balinese physician, not a marketing byline. These aren’t
slogans; they’re the operating rules that let a family on the other side
of the world trust us with someone they love.
Who we’re for — and who we’re
not
We’re built for international visitors, expats, digital nomads, and
their families abroad who need to navigate Bali’s hospitals with
confidence. We’re the right call whether it’s a crisis at 2 a.m. or
careful planning weeks before a trip. We’re not a hospital, not a
directory, and not a procedure marketplace — if you’re specifically
shopping for the cheapest cosmetic package or comparing surgery prices
to save money, that’s a different kind of service and we’ll point you
honestly elsewhere. What we do is make sure that when you or someone you
love needs care in Bali, the right hospital, the right doctor, the right
insurance handling, and the right people are all lined up — with a local
team and a medical advisor standing behind every step.
Frequently asked questions
Who runs Bali Medical Concierge?
A team of Bali-based patient coordinators. We are not clinicians and we do not employ any — our job is to get you in front of the right accredited hospital and the right treating doctor, quickly and in a language you both understand. We are independent of any single hospital.
Are you a hospital or a clinic?
No. We are a coordination service. We don’t diagnose or treat — we
guide you to the right hospital and doctor across all of Bali and manage
the logistics, insurance, and communication around your care.
Do you only cover one area of Bali?
No — we coordinate island-wide, from Seminyak and Canggu to Ubud,
Nusa Dua, Sanur, and Denpasar’s hospitals. If you specifically want a
Sanur-only concierge, we can point you to that specialist.
Is your advice medically reviewed?
Not clinically, and we will not pretend otherwise. Every page is checked against the sources named at the foot of it — World Health Organization guidance, Indonesia’s Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and KARS accreditation criteria, and each hospital’s own published rules — and carries the date it was last reviewed. Diagnosis and treatment always come from the treating physicians.
How do I get started?

a short description of your situation, or message us on WhatsApp. The first
